The weather symbolizes gatsby´s emotions. In chapter 7 gatsby was confused with the emotions of daisy so it was extremely hot. ¨it´s so hot and everything is confusing¨(Fitzgerald 118).
Gatsby´s pool symbolizes him finally enjoying his house and trying to hold to his dreams. ¨He had come a long way to this blue lawn, and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it,He did not know that it was already behind him...¨(Fitzgerald 189).
