They had a choice to go to a different camp or stay at the camp they are already at. They chose to leave.
They found out the next day everyone who stayed was freed.
They ran for 12 miles that night. Whoever couldn't do it was shot and killed.
They got to their destination and there was a building where they could rest. Hundreds of died that night.
