Tells the story of Beowulf and Grendel.
Grendel, a monster, comes out of his marsh, looking for Geats to eat. He attacks Geat soldiers and then eats them.
He kills Geat soldiers that Beowulf commands. After he attacks the soldiers, he eats them.
Beowulf pretends to be asleep and Grendel decides to attack him. Beowulf knew Grendel was coming so he kept one eye open.
When Grendel attacks Beowulf, Beowulf grabs Grendel's arm and does not let go. Beowulf's soldiers trie to help him, by attacking Grendel, but they could not hurt him.
When Grendel finally got away, he fled to his back to his home in the marsh. His wounds could not heal, so Grendel would die in his cave.
After the battle with Grendel was over, Beowulf and his soldiers celebrated. As they celebrated, the soldiers would glance up to Grendel's arm, which had been torn off by Beowulf, while Grendel escaped.
