I grew up on a farm, but my mom's allergic to farm animals, so we only grew stuff....
That meant the folks around didn't think we were "real" farmers.
I'm not much of a farmer anyway.
Now I live in the city, so I don't have to worry about those farmers.
TBH, I'd rather have sidewalks and to be able to walk to the store.
Growing up on a farm, I was expected to be outside a lot, but all I wanted to do was read. My mom was always making me put down my books and "go do something!"
I moved around a lot and ended up in Philly with my family, my husband Brian and three kids: Theo, Lena, and Frieda. Pre-COVID, Brian, Frieda and I loved exploring the city, but Theo and Lena just wanted to stay home and play video games. Now they wish we could get out more, too.
My favorite place in the whole world is Taipei, Taiwan. In the future, I hope to spend summers there, eating AMAZING food and hanging out with friends in bookstores and candy shops. (I'll even let my kids watch all the anime they want.)
