The settlement of Jamestown was set in Virginia and Had A River Called The James River And It Ran Through it. It was in a swamp with many mosquitos and was near Chesapeake Bay.
They Abided By King James I Rules, who was in England
They Had Slaves, Indentured Servants, And Workers Do Work While The Gentlemen Did Nothing
Get To Work!!!
"Why is surprising that Jamestown was a success?" Because of the amount of gentlemen who didn't do anything and died. And the bad conditions they were living in made it worse.
