Storyboard Text

  • Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. We are so very pleased that you have chosen to join us for this presentation of “Stories of the Savior”.
  • Quite right. You see, it actually started at the beginning.
  • My colleague and I have been discussing the birth of Jesus and we have decided that it doesn’t really start in the New Testament.
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  John 1:1-4
  • You may be wondering, what does the birth of Jesus have to do with Creation?
  • So that is where our presentation is going to begin….(pause) at the beginning.
  • Yes, at creation, to be exact.
  • And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
  • On the 1st day of creation our awesome God createdlight and dark He called day and nightOn the 2nd day of creation our awesome God createdan expanse between the watersOn the 3rd day of creation our awesome God createddry land and plantsOn the 4th day of creation our awesome God createdsun, moon, and starsOn the 5th day of creation our awesome God createdfish and birdsOn the 6th day of creation our awesome God createdland animals & peopleOn the 7th day of creation our awesome God creatednothing because He rested
  • Well, that was unexpected, but enjoyable.
  • I would like to back up, just a bit, though. I want to talk specifically about the people who were created on the 6th day of Creation.
  • That tune was familiar, hmm.
  • And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Genesis 2:22
  •  Yes, of course. Adam and Eve.
