Why hello there my fellow plant. I hear that you are new to the whole photosynthesis thing so I am here to guide you.
Photosynthesis is a process where a plant uses carbon dioxide, water and sunlight to make oxygen and of course, glucose.
So I know what your thinking, "What the heck was that!?". So let me explain from the beginning. Plants have a organelle called chloroplast where phtosynthesis occurs. The littIe green pigments called chlorophyll absorb the light for the process. Then inside the chloroplast there are little oval like things called thylakoids. These thylakoids bounce the sunlight around and use it to make ATP. All of this is a light dependent reaction which means it is reaction that requires light. Another product of this reaction is oxygen.
Now we switch over to the other side of the reaction. ATP from the thylakoids fuel the Calvin Cycle. The Calvin Cycle then uses that ATP along with some Carbon Dioxide and other things to make our yummy glucose. This whole reaction occurs in the slimy Stroma.
Now that you know all of this you are ready to becaome a full fledged plant. Go and become one with the sun and get that yummy glucose,
