I need to start a fire but I don't know how to, I am freezing and I need help.
The creature is talking to Victor in the cave. He tells him his story and the few months that he was by himself. He wants him to know what he has gone through, and the reasons he is so sad.
Finally I don't have to be in the cold anymore, I hope this lasts through the night.
When Victor left him he had to find a way to get food or shelter so he went to the village. The creature is being attacked by the villagers. The creature can not go out in public, he gets harassed because of his appearance.
The creature is sad and hungry and doesn't know where to go. He does not know how to find food, water, warmth and shelter so he has to learn. He has the mind of a child and doesn't know how to take care of himself yet.
We don't have much food to eat, its hard for our family we don't have much money.
The creation found a fire that was left by some villagers. He was very happy about this but did not understand fire. He explains "In my joy I thrust my hand into the live embers, but quickly drew it out again with a cry of pain" (Shelley 101). He was joyful from the fire but he got hurt from it because he didn't have knowledge from it.
After a few days of living in the woods, without shelter, he finds an empty house. A man came back to the house but he was so scared of the creation that he ran away. He was happy about this and stayed in his cottage and slept and ate their.
He finds out through a hole in the wall that he can see the family next door. There is a Man and a girl and a boy, he can't understand much of what they are saying, but watching them go about their day makes him happy. He finds out that they are in poverty so he stops stealing their food and starts helping them out instead.
