  • De La Salle first recognized God through his grandparents. His grandmother told him stories of the saint and he learned about the Divine Office from his grandfather.
  • De La Salle live in a seminary at St. Sulpice where he gained foundations of his spiritual life.
  • Everyone, lunch is ready.
  • Not long after, De La Salle's parents passed away. As the eldest in the family, he has to go back home and take care of his siblings
  • Four years later De La Salle returned to his studies
  • One day, De La Salle met Adrian Nyel by the convent. Adrian Nyel is a man who helps poor boys study.
  • De La Salle was moved with compassion that he continues to help those in need.

  • Years in teaching, the other Brothers were worried about the stability and security of their school.
  • De La Salle then decided to donate his wealth to those who were affected with famine and join his Brothers in poverty.
