- While Qin Shi was out of town, a different ruler by the name of Lao wanted to seize control. When Qin Shi found out that Lao planned on seizing it, he decided to find him. Qin Shi found Lao’s rebellion and won. Qin Shi defeated Lao, and he executed him and all of his family.
- Qin Shi built a large army that helped expand control over states throughout China. He had taken over weak regions when most vulnerable. He was considered the Emperor of Qin China because he was ruler of so many states.his empire expanded as far south as Vietnam.
- During this time, Qin Shi ordered all books that were in support of Confucianism to be burned and destroyed. He had 1,160 scholars killed in different ways. There were some who tried to kill him because of this but they never were successful. Qin Shi only allowed school to teach Legalism, to follow whatever Qin Shi said to do.
