  • Calculating Molarity!
  • Today we are going to learn how to calculate molarity. I am going to put the equation and instructions on the board!
  • What is the molarity of a solution if 10.0 mol of HCl is dissolved in 5.0L?
  • Molarity is the concentration of a solution expressed as moles over one liter of solution.
  • M=n/v
  • What is the molarity of a solution if 10.0 mol of HCl is dissolved in 5.0L?
  • To calculate the molarity, you need to you need to divide the moles by liters. There are 10 moles and 5 Liters. When you divide, you get 2.o and that is the answer!
  • M=10.0/5.0 = 2.0
  • M=n/v
