Wait!! Can you tell me some facts about other famous slaves?
Well.... There was Nat Turner. He lead a four day rebellion with both enslaved and free black people, and killed about 60 white men, women, and children.
There was also Sojourner truth. She was beaten and whipped and mistreated many times by previous owners but by her final owner John Dumont taught her english. She later escaped to freedom with her newborn daughter, and later had three children with a different slave named Thomas.
Let me think..... There was also slaves that were born free such as Maria Stewart, but she later became an indentured servant at the age of five, and later became a journalist.
There was alo William Lloyd Garrison who wanted to end slavery and braved the disapproval for many northerners and started a fiery abolitionist newspaper
