Once upon a time, long long ago, there was an amazing illusionist. He was a stellar medalist and preformed great shows. One day he decided he couldn't do this life-long, so he started studying astronomy. While studying the stars he discovered an interstellar comet, hurling at his home planet, Mars.
He knew there was no possible way to avoid this collision, and it would cause unimaginable disaster. This man was also a realist, and knew this could wipe out Mars all together. He decided to keep it a secret, to let society live their last days calmly. The day of the crash, the illusionist did what he loved, and preformed a disappearing act.
In the theater, with the biggest audience he has ever had, he disappeared into thin air. When he appeared on stage again, everything was destroyed. They say the only thing left intact was a field of asters, each representing a person.
Since then, the magician and the field of flowers have all died off. To this day, scientists are finding traces of water and life on Mars, they just don't know where it's from.
