This is the story of an 18 year-old girl named Alia. She wakes up early in the morning every day to do her daily rituals.
She brushes her teeth and takes a holy bath. Only then, she joins her family in prayer and meditates/ does yoga with them.
Time for school!
Every morning, she joins her family to pray to their chosen deity, Kamadhenu, who is considered "the mother of all cows" and is thought to represent the generic sacred cow. This is a gold statue of their deity.
She studies the Vedas and holy scriptures. She also thinks about the holy women and men as well as the sages of the past and their teachings.
Alia walks to school every morning. Her little brother, Bharat, doesn't go along because he is still too young for school. Learning and working are also considered daily practices of the Hindu religion.
She is charitable and gives money / food to the poor. This is also a daily practice expected of all Hindus, as donating shows the spirit of sharing.
