Who is going to take care of me now?
I must keep walking in memory of Uncle and Marial.
Get lost! All of you! Now!
I have to get out of here!
Salva is dependent on someone to take care of him and give him food. And because of this none of the people in his previous group wanted to take him in.
Being a Leader
Salva is determined to turn his grief into power to keep himself walking. Salva needs to be independent because no one is giving him food on the journey across the desert.
I hope you enjoyed my illustrations.
Name: Alicia Alwine
Salva is being independent because he is crossing the river that is infested with crocodiles all by himself, and not depending on someone else to do it for him.
Salva is being leader by leading a very large number of boys to Kenya. It takes major skill to empower yourself and 1200 other boys to walk all the way across the country.
Almost there just one step at a time boys, you got this.
