- Where we left off...
- Is she visiting someone? Why would she be on my floor? What if she's been following me? Does she know something? Is she going to do something to me???
- The doors open...
- Martin is almost home, when...
- Rising Action: Martin has spend the whole day thinking about where the scary lady might live and what could she could be doing in the building. The elevator doors open and...
- Martin kicks the door open and...
- Rising Action: The doors open and to Martin's relief, there's no one there. He breathes a sigh of relief and heads down the hall to his apartment.
- Getting his father to safety...
- Rising Action: Martin is almost home, when he sees a trail of smoke coming from underneath his apartment door. He touched the handle but it is hot. He can hear a noise coming from inside. Martin is sure that the scary woman is somehow responsible.
- She's back!!!
- Climax: Martin gathers up all of his physical and emotional stregth and kicks the door right under the lock, just like he's seen in all of the detective shows he watches instead of going to baseball practice. He finds his father struggling to breathe under the kitchen table.
- Falling Action: Martin pulls his coughing father into the safety of the hallway. There is so much smoke that they are both struggling to catch their breath. Martin wonders how he is going to get him and his dad out of the building, when all of a sudden he hears a noise...
- Falling Action & Resolution: ...The scary woman lunges into the smoke-filled apartment. Only this time he realizes that she is fighting the fire. She reveals herself to be a fire inspector and has been in the building making sure that it was up to code.
