I am known for my achievements in meteorology and as a pioneer for polar research.
But I am mostly remembered as the originator of the theory of continental drift.
In 1912, I suggested that the continents were slowly drifting around the earth.
Here's my belief: 1. The continents fit together like pieces of a puzzle. 2. Rocks - there are identical rocks in different places 3. Fossils - fossil plants and animals of the same kind were find on many different continents.
No one really believed me but then there was proof and my theory became the basis for today's model of plate tectonics.
