Storyboard Text

  • Introduction
  • King Pelias of Greece
  •  Initiation of the Journey
  • Bring me the Golden Fleece, and then I will grant you your kingdom
  • Sailing the Argo
  • This is King Pelias of Greece; he is Jasons uncle and is the ruler of the kingdom. He stole the throne from Jasons father. ¨Had his kingdom taken away from him by the nephew" (Hamilton 124).
  • Against the Harpies
  • This is the call of action that sets Jason out on his quest to get the golden fleece.  His journey begins when King Pelias tells him what to do to reclaim his kingdom. ¨Bring back the Golden Fleece and thus bring back his spirit to his home" (Hamilton 124).
  • The Clashing Rocks
  • Jason sets sail on Argo with him. Argo is the name of the ship and they call themselves the Argonauts. "They set sail in the Argo" (Hamilton 125).
  • Taking the Golden Fleece
  • During the journey they fight against the Harpies to protect a man named Phineus who can prophesize and would give Jason advice. ¨Their next adventure was with the Harpies, frightful flying creatures with hooked beaks and claws who always left behind them a loathsome stench"(Hamilton 125).
  • The Agronauts use a dove to get through the clashing rocks. If the dove made it through then they would most likely make it through too. "The way to pass between them, he said, was first to make trial with a dove" (Hamilton 127).
  • Madea uses a song to charm the serpent guard to sleep, allowing Jason to the fleece from the tree. "At least Medea spoke and told him how to use the charm" (Hamilton 130).
