Hercules was sent by Eurystheus to find, capture and bring the Erymanthian boar to the kingdom. Hercules set out at once.
Along the way, Hercules met a friendly centaur, named Pholus, who invited to stay and drink some of his famous punch. Hercules was having a great time until...
The other centaurs smelled the punch and stormed in, ready to kill anybody in order to take the punch. Hercules roared and drove them away, bravely fighting them alone.
Hercules continued searching for the boar. When he found it, he chased all around the countryside until the beast finally fell and died of exhaustion. He threw it onto his back and carried it back to the high king, waiting for his next task.
Hercules shows perseverance as he chases the boar as well as obedience as he continues to set out and complete errands for the king.
