On his eleventy-first birthday, hobbit Bilbo Baggins decides to leave his home at the Shire to travel the world. He leaves his house and possessions to his heir Frodo. One of these possessions is a golden ring. It is difficult for Bilbo to give up his ring, which sparks the suspicion of wizard Gandalf the Gray.
A few years later, Gandalf comes with disturbing news about Frodo's ring. Apparently it is the most powerful of the eleven rings of power. known as the One Ring. The One Ring belonged to the Dark Lord Sauron, and has the power to become attached to its owner, to the point where it becomes an obsession. The ring is pure evil.
The ring must be taken away.
Because Sauron is coming back into power, Frodo must take the ring away from the Shire. He and his friends Sam and Pippin set out on the journey of their life.
Let's start our journey!
In the first few days of their journey, the group encounter many things. They meet a gang of elves, and meet up with another member of their group, Merry. They also learn about the chilling Black Riders, a group of old kings that fell to the power of Sauron and became his servants. Frodo and company must beware of the Black Riders, who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the One Ring.
The group meets mysterious Rider Strider, who's real name is Aragorn, at an inn in Bree. Aragorn saves their lives many times, and joins them on their quest.
I'll come with you
The group is attacked by the Black Riders, and Frodo is pierced by one of their swords. Fearing for Frodo's life, Aragorn takes Frodo to the elf Glorfindel, who takes Frodo to be healed by Elrond, the master elf of Rivendell.
