Tito is a blind, poor boy who lives in the streets of Pompeii with " his " dog, Bimbo. Bimbo is like Tito's parent. Bimbo goes out and gets breakfast and lunch and they go out together to get dinner. They both depend on each other.
One day when Tito and Bimbo go out on their daily adventure through Pompeii, they heard arguing in the town center between very important masters about their land being bad and soon they will be taught a lesson. But while this is happening they should be focus on the mountain waking up.
The conflict in this story is external between the volcano and all of Pompeii.
The morning after the big party Bimbo gave Tito his favorite breakfast, rice cakes. But after a few bites Bimbo starts pulling on Tito's close and starts barking. When Tito breathed in he realized that the air was a little smoky and hard to breath. Maybe someone was having a fire. But Bimbo knew something that Tito didn't know. The volcano had erupted.
Bimbo was pulling and tugging with all his strength and was barley moving Tito. So he did the last thing he wanted to do to his master, he bit him. That didn't make Tito happy and he was confused. Bimbo was a good dog. then he realized that he really was have trouble breathing. Bimbo had gotten him as far as possible when someone came and got Tito and brought him to the ship where they had food and no lava. But Where's Bimbo?
1,000 years later, scientist had finally found Pompeii and the safely preserved artifacts. When they where looking at what seemed to be a baker they found a dog. The dog had something in its mouth that looked like a rock but wasn't. It was like a cake.
