One day in Waymer P.A. a pigeon landed op Palmer's roof. Palmer is surprised because his town kills pigeons, and he thinks this bird is a stupid one because he does not want it to be captured and killed.
Palmer felt bad for the pigeon, and fed it, in hopes that the pigeon will go away, but after he realized that feeding the pigeon will give it a reason to come back .
Maybe, flying around all day it found a friendlier window
Palmer! I thought you were gone. School starts in 10 minutes.
After Palmer fed the pigeon he started to regret it, knowing the pigeon will come back, and he will have to deal that he could die, someone could catch the poor bird, and kill it.
Palmer is a little sad that the pigeon flew away, and he was distracted because he felt bad for it. Then, the pigeon came back to his window sill. Palmer was surprised, but also grateful that the pigeon did not get hurt.
Palmer could not decide what to do. He felt that he could not ask anyone because he did not want them to know what he felt about the pigeon. He felt rushed since he had to leave his house for school, and he was afraid that the pigeon would fly away over the day.
Palmer opened the window so the bird can come in. He did this because he was afraid that the pigeon would get hurt or not come back.
