It was a war to decide which nation would control territory and power. Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany PLane of Union which was the Alliance for defense.
The Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1763. The treaty gave Britain Canada.
Britain imposed the Proclomation of 1763 on the colonist which prohibited to go past the Appellation mountain.
The war cost Britain a lot of money so they pay their fair share. The colonist became angry.
