  • The ozone layer protect the Earth from the UV ray. It is made up of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • NOx are produced from lighting from the sun. They can be found in the air and soil.VOCs are released from gases like coal and fuel.
  • Some problem from the ground level ozone would be harmful to the human health. Problem like chest pain and throat irritation could be vital.
  • The ozone layer in the stratosphere protect us by absorbing UV light from the sun. The ozone is like a shield that make sure we don't get hurt by the light power.
  • Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) are anthropocentric compounds that have been released into the atmosphere. Most are released through the use of aerosols from refrigeration equipment.
  • Once CFC are in the stratosphere they are broken up by the UV radiation, releasing chlorine atoms. The chlorine are then able to destroy the ozone.
