Fall From Innocence
"As soon as she removes the lid, all of it's contents-except for Hope-will fly forth, never to be confined again. They will bring upon your frail creatures all the troubles that hereafter will afflict them."
"He warned his son Deucalion about the great flood that Zeus was sending to destroy the entire human race."
By providing humanity with gifts that could lead to them rivaling te gods, Prometheus broke Zeus' trust. He was punished for stealing a godly privilege. Humans were weak in the eyes of Zeus, he thought they should not have this power.
Man's fall from innocence was orchestrated by Zeus. He had ordered the creation of Pandora, but she would have only one flaw: she was too curious. When given a box containing all of humanity's struggles and told not to open, she toiled fr days until finally she released all the troubles in the world.
The flood that Zeus was sending was to get back at Prometheus and at the ame time cleanse the earth of humans. Prometheus told his son how to survive it, in a crate with supplies. The flood was supposed to wipe out the world so the gods could start anew, but Deucalion survived along with his wife. The reeks used the flood to explain natural disasters in which they had no explanation for.
