  • Odysseus Arrives at Ithaca
  • Odysseus Comes Across Eumaeus
  • Odysseus Enters His Home as a Beggar
  • Here, Odysseus has just arrived at Ithaca in the first time in 20 years. He is in the disguise of an old beggar. 
  • Penelope Challenges the Suitors 
  • Once at the island, Odysseus finds Eumaeus, and then finds the dog he raised from a puppy, Argos, who is now dying after he hears his master's voice once more. 
  • Odysseus Regains His Throne
  • Odysseus enters his home as a beggar, where the suitors mock him. 
  • The End
  • Penelope (Odysseus' wife) challenges the suitors to shoot an arrow through many axes. Only Odysseus makes the shot. The suitors are angry, but Odysseus and Telemachus (Odysseus' son) kill them. 
  • Once Odysseus kills the suitors and proves he is himself, Odysseus regains his righteous place as king. 
  • Soon, Odysseus turns back to his normal self, and they all live happily ever after.
