  • All three branches of the government work together to make on powerful, successful government with the judicial branch being in charge of deciding who is correct
  • hey don't forget about the executive branch which is passing all of our laws
  • The general assembly is made up of two kinds of legislators; representatives and senators. Both have to be citizens of Georgia for at least 2 years and reside in their district for 1 year. And both make laws. However, senators must be at least 25 to serve, and reps must be at least 21 to serve.  
  • What about the Speaker of the house and the Lt. Governor?
  • The speaker of the house gets elected by the representatives and he/she represents the party that's in control. The Lieutenant Governor gets elected by the people and he/she will represent the senate.
  • What do you know about the Governor of georgia?
  •  The Governor gets elected by the people and he gets to pass or veto laws. He will serve for 4 years and has to be at least 30 to serve.  The Lieutenant Governor gets elected by the people and he/she will represent the senate. He will serve for 4 years and has to be at least 30 to serve.
  • Do you know anything about courts?
  • Appellate courts focus on judgements made by trial courts to see if they are unconstitutional. Trial courts give out judgments to anyone who gets accused of anything against the law.
  • What about law?
  • Don't forget about criminal law that deals with people who harm people
  • Civil law deals with disputes between two or more people
