LIFE IN THE DUST
In the 1920's, Canadians were living lavishly in the great boom that they have been blessed with of good land, harvest and money.
After years of trying to build up this community, I think we can finally say that we did it.
Canada began to boom and economy skyrocketed. Canadians, expecting that this would last forever, took advantage of the luscious fields and crops
I collected all of the harvest. Pa's going to be so proud of me.
Economy continues to rise, and Canadians are noticing this dramatic increase, and using it to their advantage.
Pa, I harvested all the food. We'll be able to eat forever. Look, we can sell some to get money, and we'll be rich
Plague, drought and erosion take over the once lush fields and land, leaving the Prairies dry. Those living here, begin to question how they'll be able to manage living this way.
Economy has finally had enough and has reached the maximum. Canadians in the Prairies are one of the first to be affected by the crash.
It's all gone. Our food, our way of getting money. What am I supposed to feed my family? They'll starve. What am I supposed to do?
