There was a young boy named Tim. Tim was in Year 6 at his school and he really enjoyed himself there. Tim was a generally a good child. He wasn’t the smartest, he wasn’t the most athletic but he tried his best at whatever he did.
One day, it was announced, that Tim’s whole school would be participating in a science fair and that people from the community would be judging projects.
Tim went home and excitedly told his parents. When Tim told his mum and dad about the science fair and that he had to come up with a project to present, his parents were very excited, especially his dad. Tim’s dad was very good at science and anything project related – he had his own workshop in the garage.
Tim’s dad smiled reluctantly at Tim’s ideas, but then mentioned several of his own. Tim’s dad’s ideas sounded way better than Tims. They were both excited to start, As the week when by Tim became interested as to when they would start on the project so he asked his dad.
To Tims surprise, Tim's dad had been working on it already at night while Tim was asleep , So Tim asked his dad to show him what he had done so far, and it was awesome! Tim asked if he could start helping the next day and his dad said “Sure! It’s your project after all!”
After dinner Tim went into the workshop again. His dad, trying to find something for Tim to work on so he felt like he was contributing, asked his son if he could take pictures of the project as it was being completed, so people could see the progress. Tim said “ok” with a look of sadness on his face. Noticing this look, his dad looked at Tim in the eyes and encouraged him, “You know, this project is going to be great.
