  • A socialist interim German government was replaced by the official creation of the democratic Weimar Republic.

  • Hitler joins the German Workers' Party having been sent to spy on it by the military.
  • July 1, 1925
  • Hitler was able to become chairman of his party which was renamed National Socialist German Workers' Party.
  • Hitler believes the time is right to stage a coup. Aided by a force of SA brown shirts the support of WW1 leader Erich Ludendorff and brown beaten locals he staged the Beer Hall Putsch. it failed.
  • Hitler published "Mein Kampf" an exploration of what passed as his ideology.
