Good morning students, I'm Officer Jones from your police station down the road and I am here to talk to you about road safety.
Lets get started, last year there were 12,055 hospitalized by motor vehicles and 1,225 killed. Of the majority killed 392 of them were between the ages of 40 to 64, while the second most group numbered around 243 were between the ages of 17 to 25.
The most common issues leading up to the accidents are fatigue, speed, distraction (mainly phones), alcohol or drugs.
There are solutions to these accidents such as if you are too intoxicated to drive you should call a taxi or friend to come and pick you up from your location, same with drugs or if you are too tired to be driving.
If you are speeding say for example you are going to be late for an important event you should still be going the speed limit in the area otherwise you put yourself and others at risk even if you see no one around.
