Storyboard Text

  • As we have gained victory over Creon, takes these noble knights as prisoners back to Athens.
  • She is the most beautiful girl my eyes have seen! If I cannot have her I wish to be DEAD!
  • Palamon gets sight of the fair maiden Emily and begins to cry uncontrollably due to being in love. Arcite follows suit and becomes so in love that he cannot contain his emotions.
  • I do not wish to be free if the cost is never seeing Emily again... Palamon is the lucky one.
  • Arcite is the lucky one. He has the opportunity to siege Athens and have Emily while I am stuck here forever.
  • Mercury is right. I can return disguised as Philostrate, a working lad, and be nearer to Emily than I am now.
  • Arcite is visited by Mercury, a messenger to the gods, in a dream and is urged to go back to Athens.
  • Following Palamon's escape, Palamon finds himself hiding in the woods when Arcite comes along, completely spilling the beans on his entire situation.
  • I, Arcite, cannot take working this close to Emily and still not being able to have her hand. And living this double life will never help me win her love because I am only known as a worker.
  • An enraged Palamon agrees to fight Arcite, to the death, and when Arcite returns to the woods with the armor and weapons, that's exactly what they did. And it's exactly what they were doing when Theseus and the nobles stumbled upon the scene.
