  • Hi my name is Deion and today I will be teaching you a few things about sulfur 
  • Sulfur is a non-metal chemical element with an atomic number of 16 and a chemical symbol of S.
  • 5 physical properties of sulfur are:  pale yellow tasteless and odorless solid that has a melting point of 444.6°C
  • 2 chemical properties of sulfur are isotopes:5 and an atomic mass of 32.06
  • 3 common uses of sulfur are : black gunpowder, matches, and fireworks.
  • sulfur is an element that can be found in hot springs, hydro-thermal vents, volcanic emissions and salt domes. 
  • when sulfur dioxide is combined with water and air, it form's sulfuric acid which is called acid rain. acid rain can causes deforestation.
  •  and finally, sulfur dioxide irritates the skin & mucous membrane of the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. it can also cause inflammation and irritation of the lungs of the respiratory system.
