  • The red arrows represent warm air. The blue arrows represent cold air. In a sea breeze, the land is warmer than the ocean, because the land absorbs more solar energy. The cold air sinks above the land, and gets pushed out toward the ocean. The air rises again but as warm air, and the cycle happens over and over again
  • This is the Polar Easterlies. Latitude is 60 degrees-90 degrees.
  • This is the Westerlies wind pattern. It's latitudes are 30 degrees-60 degrees.
  • This is the Polar Easterlies. Latitude is 60-90 degrees.
  • This is the Southwest Tradewind. It's latitude is 0 degrees-30 degrees.
  • This is the Westerlies. Latitude is 30 degrees-60 degrees.
  • This is the Doldrum. It's latitude is 0 degrees.
  • This is the Northeast Tradewinds. It's latitude is 0 degrees-30 degrees.
  • When cars run they are polluting the air. Gasoline going into the air is called pollution. This is an example of a Primary Pollution. This is when gas is being directly released into the air.
  • This is the Winter Solstice. It is on December 21. This is known as Winter.
  • This is the Autumnal Equinox. It is on September 22. This is known as Autumn/Fall.
  • This is the Vernal Equinox. It is on March 20. This is known as Spring.
  • This is the Summer Solstice.  It is on June 21. This is known as Summer.
  • This is a dessert. The climate here is dry and hot. The climate of an area is based on two things. The precipitation and temperature in that area over a period of time. At a dessert, the precipitation over a long period of time is dry, and the temperature is very high. That's why the climate would be dry and hot.
