Joan Of Arc first heard voices when she was 13 years old. Joan always went to church. The voices in her head told her to help Charles fight against the English. At age 17, she set out to find Charles.

Joan disguised herself as a boy, she cut her hair and and she put on male clothing. Charles eventually let her fight in the war, but he tested her by dressing as a different person and letting someone else rule the throne.
Joan's challenge was to free Orleans from the English. In the spring of 1429, Joan led a group of soldiers toward Orleans. Her first time going to fight was May 4rth of the same year. During battle, she was hit with a arrow but she was able to survive and pull the arrow from her shoulder.
Without a king, Joan was left with only 300 soldiers left to fight off the rest of the English army. At first they were able to fend them off, but soon even more English Soldiers.
While Joan was out fighting, the mayor saw more incoming English Soldiers, the mayor closed the gates while Joan was fighting the soldiers off. this eventually led to her capture. The people who captured her put her on trial for Heresy and witchcraft in February of 1431. Joan eventually confessed but then she went back on her claims.
Joan of Arc died by burning at the stake, at age 19 because she was accused of being a witch. She died with a lot of courage. After a while, the church finally recognized her as a saint.
