Storyboard Text

  • How could you?!
  • I'm a soldier!
  • My name is Bruno
  • I'm Shmuel..
  • This was during the Holocaust in the early 1930's. There was a mother, a 12 year old  daughter (Gretel), a 8 year old son ( Bruno) , and a father who was a Nazi commander. They lived in Berlin but they had to move to the country side since it was too dangerous in Berlin.
  • The conflict of the story is since the father is a Nazi Commander, he HAS to do inhumane things to the Jews. The mother doesn't think its a good thing at all and they argue all the time about it.
  • The movie reached its rising action when Bruno was bored and went exploring through the woods. Even though he was told not to by his mother He stumbled upon a 8 year old boy named Shmuel that was a Jew stuck in the concentration camps.
  • The climax of the whole movie was times when Bruno and Shumel were becoming closer friends and playing with each other. It showed that despite their circumstances they still cared for each other even if there was an electric fence between them.  It was also a problem because Bruno was not supposed to be friends with a "bad" Jew.  Soon enough, Shmuel said that his Pa pa went missing and he asked Bruno to help.
  • Bruno found a way to help Shmuel find his dad by digging underneath the fence and dressing like a Jew. So, one morning Bruno sneaked out his house with a shovel on his way to the fence.
  • Actually, the problem was actually not solved. Bruno and Shmuels plan went well except for when they were trying to find his dad. The Nazi soldiers rushed the Jews and Bruno into a room and they thought they were taking a shower. It turns out that they all had to take off there clothes, the lights turned off, and deadly gas was coming out of the shower heads. Everyone in the gas chamber was dead.
