  • Introduction
  • Of all the ancient civilizations, Egypt remains one of the most mysterious and exciting.
  • Egypt has given us beautiful architecture and a long history of pharaohs
  • From Menes I, the first Pharaoh, to Cleopatra, many have ruled this beautiful land.
  • Temple scene
  • Library Scene
  • These Pharaohs collected ancient writings and stored the scrolls in Alexandria.
  • After the decline of the Egyptian pharoahs, the Greeks and Romans came in, giving rise to the Ptolemaic Pharoahs.
  • Night scene with man. low level shot. Fade in
  • Pharaoh Bedroom
  • Although much of this knowledge was lost when the library caught fire, we have many artifacts to tell us about ancient Egypt.
  • wipe to temple shot with lady, description of pharaohs.
  • Throne scene
  • wipe to library scene, midday shot for full sun. insert prop scrolls for shot
  • King Tut Scene
  • The discovery of King Tuts tomb by Howard Carter gave us the most precious treasures ever discovered, and renewed interest in ancient Egypt.

  • Tombs of Pharaohs and other important people have given us a nice picture of how they  lived.
  • wipe to throne shot with siting man. cue Egyptian music!
  • The unearthing of the Rosetta stone and its' translation by Champollion allowed for the reading of Egyptian Hieroglyphics. 
  • final shot with man in tomb. music continues, fade to black
  • We still have much to learn, but the history of ancient Egypt has much to teach us.
