In the aftermath of the trial, Bob Ewell is still angry that Atticus defended Tom Robinson and seeks revenge. Bob goes after Atticus' kids and brutally attacks them both.

All throughout the trial, Tom Robinson is judged based off of his skin color. These judgements end up placing Tom Robinson in jail and later, even killing him. The society of Maycomb judges him and ruins his life.
During Mrs. Dubose's last few months, she battles her addiction even though it causes her immense pain. In the end, she struggled very much and ended up dying before she could be completely clean. Even though that happened, she still tried her best.
