  • Bureaucracy: Large network of individuals and agencies
  • Commander in Chief is the leader of the military. Power: Is in control of the military The head of state or officer in supreme command of a country's armed forces
  • executive order: A rule or command the president issues that has the force of law
  • Chief Diplomat. Power: recognizes foreign governments. An example would be writing a letter to leaders of Russia.
  • ambassador: Official representative of a country's government
  • Chief Executive. Power: Decides how laws should be enforced. An example would be holding a cabinet meeting to discuss government business
  • Legislative Leader. Every president has a plan of what they want the US to be like.  An example of this is giving the state of union address.  power: can get congress to pass laws And Chief Of State. The chief of state holds cabinet meetings to discuss government business power: to demonstrate americas support by inviting people to the white house
  • Treaty: A formal agreement between two or more countries
  • Amnesty: a pardon for a group of people rather than an individual.
  • Party Leader. Helps members of his or her party get elected or appointed to office. an example would be choosing leading party members to serve in the cabinet
  • executive agreement: an agreement between the president and the leader of another country.
  • Pardon: a document of forgiveness
  • Judicial Leader.  The power to appoint judges to the supreme court and other federal courts.
  • Reprieve: An order to delay a persons punishment until higher court can rule the case
