Commander in Chief is the leader of the military. Power: Is in control of the military The head of state or officer in supreme command of a country's armed forces
executive order: A rule or command the president issues that has the force of law
Chief Diplomat. Power: recognizes foreign governments. An example would be writing a letter to leaders of Russia.
ambassador: Official representative of a country's government
Chief Executive. Power: Decides how laws should be enforced. An example would be holding a cabinet meeting to discuss government business
Legislative Leader. Every president has a plan of what they want the US to be like. An example of this is giving the state of union address. power: can get congress to pass laws And Chief Of State. The chief of state holds cabinet meetings to discuss government business power: to demonstrate americas support by inviting people to the white house
Treaty: A formal agreement between two or more countries
Amnesty: a pardon for a group of people rather than an individual.
Party Leader. Helps members of his or her party get elected or appointed to office. an example would be choosing leading party members to serve in the cabinet
executive agreement: an agreement between the president and the leader of another country.
Pardon: a document of forgiveness
Judicial Leader. The power to appoint judges to the supreme court and other federal courts.
Reprieve: An order to delay a persons punishment until higher court can rule the case
