This memory is significant to me because it made me confident in performing and getting out of my comfort zone.
I was 8 and I was at my twirling class that my mom had enrolled me in a few months ago. We just finished stretching and warming up when the dance teacher announced that we had a major recital coming up. I froze my eyes widen as big as a flys, I was nervous.
After she made the announcement we practiced our rountine and I rushed home. As soon as I got home I went straight to my room and practiced for what seemed like hours. I did this everyday for about 4 weeks after school and after twirling class. I was determined.
Finally the recital came and it was showtime, I was backstage getting my hair and makeup done and trying to remember the steps when Mrs.Divin my dance teacher came in and announced "Showtime girls!"
