The climax of the story is when the kids lock Margot in the closet because the don't belive Margot when she says the sun is like a penny.So later the sun comes out and they felt guilty for not beliving Margot
The theme of the story is never be mean to people who are different. One example from the text is when the children locked Margot in the closet because they thought she was lieing.

So sad to see you go but anyway the resolution is when all the kids come back inside from playing in the sun (For an hour) they open the closet door and Margot walks out quietly and does not say a word.
