Destiny Howard-Rock Cycle comic strip
4th block earth and environmental sciences
A volcano erupts and releases lava. The lava will cool and harden to create an igneous rock.
The igneous rock is weathered by the rain and wind and is then carried away by the river.
After the igneous rock is eroded, the sediments are deposited. After the sediments are deposited, they will be compacted and cemented to form a sedimentary rock.
After the sedimentary rock is formed, it will change into a metamorphic rock after many years of being subjected to immense heat and pressure beneath the surface of the Earth.
After the metamorphic rock is formed, the sun and other outside forces will start to melt the rock.
After the rock is melted, it will turn into lava (or magma beneath the surface) and the rock cycle will begin again.
