Bernardo and Francisco have a greeting from a ghost that looks like the dead King. Horatio takes over Francisco's job and he sees the ghost again at midnight. Hamlet Jr. gets the ghost to talk. The King tells Hamlet that his brother killed him.
In act 2 Polonius and Leartes talks to Ophelia about how Hamlet Jr. more then likely already has someone lined up to marry him. Polonius also talks to the king and queen to tell them that Hamelt jr. is only crazy because he is inlove with Ophelia.
Hamlet Jr. sets up a play that will make the king and queen feel guilty about killing King Hamlet. This play happens the exact way the king killed Hamlet.
