-Henry Mosely's work was used to reorganize the periodic table based on atomic number instead of atomic mass.-He found out the charges of most nuclei with his x-ray tubes.
Henry Mosely
“The atomic number of an element is equal to the number of protons in the nucleus.”
1914
-Bohr determined atomic structure by using a model that had atoms built up of successive orbital shells of electrons.-Electrons are arranged in circles around the nucleus. Each circle has a differentenergy.
Niels Bohr

Schrodinger
1930
-Came across the electron cloud model that described and introduced "wave mechanics". This was the mathematical model of the atom.-The electrons do not travel in fixed clouds, but the center of an atom is encircled by an electron cloud that is divided into shells.
1932
-Discovered the neutron that had no electrical charge, it was neutral. Did this using alpha particles.-He also managed to find out it is the same size as a proton and located in the nucleus.
James Chadwick
-Released energy from the atoms nucleus.-This was the first controlled chain reaction ever conducted.
