Storyboard Text

  • Heraclitus
  • For over a hundred years we have been stuck in this prison cell. I can't wait to see how much the world has changed when we get out.
  • Parmenides
  • For the millionth time Heraclitus, there is no such thing as change.
  • How can you say that when reality is constantly changing around us?
  • I’ll explain. A being for example, like you and I, if we were to change we would indeed become something different. Meaning we would no longer be a being and therefore a being wouldn’t actually exist.
  • If a being did not exist then it would be a state of nothingness?
  • Yes
  • Then explain to me why our whole universe began from a state of nothingness.
