Storyboard Text

  • The Greek Feud
  • Back in ancient Greece there were two scientist with very differing opinions. One named Democritus, and one named Aristotle.
  • I am Democritus and I believe that everything is made up of atoms.
  • I am Aristotle and I do not believe in the atomic theory. I believe that everything is made of the 4 elements.
  • By Devin Cameron
  • Democritus adopted the atomic theory from his mentor Leucippus, whose atomic theory stated, “The universe is composed of two elements: the atoms and the void in which they exist and move.”
  • Atoms cannot be destroyed, they differ in size, shape, and temperature, are always moving, and are invisible.
  • By Devin Cameron
  • Aristotle on the other hand was opposed to the idea of atoms.
  • If atoms cannot be destroyed then you are saying that the gods only have a limited amount of power, and that is absurd.
