Storyboard Text

  • Because of Napoleon's blockade, British men like us have been sailing around, looking to bring neutral ships to a port to be taxed and searched.
  • So this is your response to the Continental System?  This doesn't work for us Americans so we declare the War of 1812!
  • This scorched earth policy of Czar Alexander even applies to Moscow?  Napoleon, how are we going to find supplies to survive and escape to France...unlike the tens of thousands of men we've already lost.
  • Napoleon, for far too long have you reigned, even following your banishment to Elba after your loss at the battle in Leipzig, Germany.  I, the Duke of Wellington, along with Prussia, hereby declare your permanent banishment to St. Helena!
  • The first and greatest concern for the immense majority of every nation is the stability of laws, never their change. My three goals for the Congress of Vienna are to prevent future French aggression by surrounding France with strong counties, to restore a balance of power (so that no country would be a threat to others), and to restore Europe's royal families to the thrones they had before Napoleon's conquests.
  • The great powers affirmed the principle of legitimacy, and restored as many rulers that Napoleon had driven from power as they could. As shown above, King Louis XVIII is being restored to his thrown.
  • You Spanish colonists foolishly come here and expect us Mexicans to relinquish our power over this colony.  However, as Creoles, we will not give power back to the King and you royalist peninsulares!
  • Surrender your land to the great Spanish king!
