The theme in this comic strip is "People aren't always what we think they are". This is shown when Miss Maudie's house catches fire and Atticus sends Scout and Jem to wait in front of the Radley Place. Both Scout and Jem are standing in the freezing cold when a blanket is mysteriously put on Scout. When they come back Attius asks where the blanket came from, but both Jem and Scout are clueless. Atticus belives it was Boo Radley who put it on them, the man that the kids both think is evil. This shows that Boo Radely cares for Scout and others. He is not really an evil and mean mad, but actually the compete opposite.
Is it morning already?
Baby, get up. Put your robe on first.
Whose is it?
Miss Maudie's, hon.
Now listen, both of you . Go down and stand in front of the Radley Place.
...Brrr.. it's freezing..
Don't worry Scout, it ain't time to worry yet.
(2)Why, we did. We stayed-
(1)I thought I told you and Jem to stay put.
(3)Then whose blanket is that?
(1)Someday, maybe, Scout can thank him for covering her up.
(3)Boo Radley. You were too busy looking at the fire you didn't know it when he put the blanket around you.
