Beowulf, along with Geatish warriors, sails across the sea to the land of the Danes to fight the demon Grendel to the death and finish him for good.
Beowulf vs Grendel's Mother
When Grendel attacks Heorot Hall, Beowulf meets him in hand-to-hand combat. Towards the end of the brutal fight Beowulf rips Grendel's arm clear from his shoulder, mortally wounding the monster.
King Beowulf vs Dragon
After the feast Beowulf leaves and goes to sleep, and during this Grendel's mother brutally attacks Heorot, King Hrothgar's closest friend as revenge for her sons death.
Death of King Beowulf
Beowulf tracks Grendel's mother to her lair in a cave under a lake and kills her with a massive, magic sword he finds that was hand crafted by giants.
After becoming king of the Geats and reigns for fifty years. Beowulf hears about a marauding dragon, he suspects that he will die fighting it, so he tracks the dragon to its lair and fights it with the help of his follower, Wiglaf. Beowulf kills the dragon but receives a mortal wound in the fight.
After the battle with the dragon Beowulf dies. His body was burned on a funeral pyre by his people and a barrow was built on the site to honor him.
