In 200 years after the Maya, The Aztec people came into a valley of Mexico, They even named themselves the Mexica.

Late in 1518, Hernan Cortes landed in Mexico with a force of about 500 soldiers. The Aztecs appeared in Mesoamerica–as the south-central region of pre-Columbian Mexico is known–in the early 13th century.
How they ended
The Aztec invented a game called Volador an to the ground from the top was more then 60 feet high. They even built a city called Tenochtitlan on the island in lake Texcoco.
Another Aztec game was called Tlachtli, a cross between basketball and soccer. Popcorn was a popular treat among the Aztec, especially while watching games.
